Who can use the Bahama Village Docks?

Bahama Village Docks, Inc. is a private marina reserved for the exclusive use of residents, owners, guests and services employed by owners and residents of the 111 properties in Bahama Village, the Coronado Cays, Coronado, California. The only commercial activity allowed on the docks are those works in support of members' boats, the Bahama Village Docks, Inc, and BVD members' recreational activities.

 

Who can get a slip at the Bahama Village Docks?

Slips are exclusively available to owners or tenants of properties in Bahama Village.

Bahama Village property owners who are Class A Members hae priority for assignment of slips at a significantly reduced fee.

Bahama Village Property Owners who are not Class A Members in Bahama Village Docks are Class B Members. Tenants who hold a lease or short-term occupancy permits as residents of Bahama Village are Class C members.

Class B and Class C members may be assigned a slip for a monthly fee set at four times the Class A members’ rates.DUE TO ONGOING CONSTRUCTION, THERE WILL BE NO AVAILABLE SLIPS FOR CLASS B OR C MEMBERS UNTIL 1 JANUARY 2025.

How does a tenant of a Bahama Village property obtain a slip from Bahama Village Docks?

Bona Fide tenants of Bahama Village can complete a Short-term Slip Offer and Use Agreement and submit it to Bahama Village Docks at bahamadocks@aol.com or mailed to

May I keep my watercraft at Bahama Village Docks?

Floats for small craft or dinghies, kayaks, etc. occupying a slip will pay the appropriate monthly slip rate. Floats for small craft or dinghies, kayaks, etc. located between the head-walk and bulkhead pay a monthly rate of $65.00 for Class “A” members to use or $260.00 for Class “B” & “C” members to use if not otherwise paying a monthly slip use fee.

 

No kayaks, dinghies or auxiliary water or related boat usage, etc. items are to be left or stored on the headwalk or fingers in order to comply with a Coronado Fire Department mandate.  They may be kept on the BVD Racks by the Clubhouse for a yearly rate of $150.00 for any Class “A”, “B” or “C” members.

 

Jet Ski Racks located on either side of the Slip #52/53 finger are available for a yearly rate of $450.00 (as of 12/17/2019), for any Class “A”, “B” or “C” members.

Can other residents of the Coronado Cays obtain a slip at Bahama Village Docks?

No.

Can a slip at Bahama Village Docks be sublet?

No. All vessels at the Bahama Village Docks, other than brief visitors, must be registered to a bona fide member who will be assessed the appropriate fee for Class A, B or C membership.

 

 

Can friends or family of Bahama Village Docks Members obtain a slip at Bahama Village Docks?

Visitors and bona fide house guests of Class A members may use an available slip for up to three days free. Once in any three-month period, guests authorized by the BVD Board may use an available slip for up to fourteen days thereafter for a prepaid use assessment fee of $10.00 per day. Can Class B or Class C members offer slip use to friends or families?

Class B or C members who have contracted for use of a slip may, on a case-by-case basis, offer visitors and bona fide house guests an available slip for up to three days free and up to fourteen days thereafter once in any three month period for a prepaid use assessment fee of $10.00 per day. Are members’ and visitors’ boats allowed the use of empty slips?

The long, channel-facing dock located the corner of the Bahama Docks in front of the clubhouse may be used for brief stops by friends and members of the Bahama Village Docks. For any moorage by non-members longer than one hour, please contact bahamadocks@aol.com to reserve the space. No area of Bahama Village Docks or the facilities of Bahama Village Docks may be used for any commercial activity which includes loading and offloading of paid passengers.
